Wrinkles and pigment spots are not our enemies, but our skin's companions. Instead of fighting them, we show you how you can gently and naturally slow down the aging process – without fillers or Botox, but with a lot of knowledge and care – because that's exactly what the slow-aging concept is all about.

01

What does slow aging mean?

Slow Aging means decelerating the aging process of the skin and body in a natural way – for example, with a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet or holistic skin care. It is about accepting the signs of aging and feeling comfortable at any age. What Slow Aging is not about: hiding wrinkles or combating them with radical measures.

02

How does slow-aging work?

Our skin regulates itself almost by itself and keeps us in balance day after day, but sometimes it gets out of sync – whether it's due to external stress or a lack of important nutrients. This often manifests itself in the form of dry spots, small wrinkles or unpleasant spots. But don't worry: with the right care and a good portion of nutrients, you can restore your skin's balance.

03

Did you know?

From the age of 25, our skin's ability to renew itself slows down. Instead of regenerating every 28 days or so, it then takes around 35 days in middle age and even longer in older people. The production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, the building blocks for firm and elastic skin, also decreases from this age. This is precisely when the skin can use a little support!

10 tips to prevent signs of aging

Boost moisture & firmness

Hyaluronic acid is a natural moisture reservoir that keeps the skin firm and smooth. Supplementing the body with hyaluronic acid, whether in powder form or in care products, helps to bind moisture, smooth fine lines and slow down the skin aging process – a must-have for slow aging.

Collagen is a key protein for firm, elastic skin. With a targeted supply, for example in the form of collagen powder, the skin structure is strengthened and the aging process slowed down.

Support regeneration with key micronutrients

Vitamin C: this powerful antioxidant stimulates collagen production and protects the skin from UV damage.

Zinc is important for cell division and the healing process. It helps to strengthen the skin barrier and reduce inflammation.

Vitamin E has an antioxidant effect, soothes the skin and promotes regeneration after sun damage.

Stay hydrated

Drink enough water to keep your skin moisturised from the inside and maintain skin elasticity.

Protect your skin from the sun

Daily use of UV protection is essential, even on cloudy days. Use conventional sunscreen and UV-protective micronutrients and plant substances such as beta-carotene and astaxanthin. You should also avoid sunbathing and tanning beds.

Nourish your skin with a balanced diet

Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats nourish the skin from the inside.

Get enough sleep

The skin regenerates particularly effectively during the deep sleep phase. This is easier said than done – so here are some strategies for better sleep!

Reduce stress

Chronic stress promotes the formation of free radicals – and this is precisely what is reflected in your skin – so the rule is: reduce stress!

Keep moving every day

Movement promotes blood circulation, stimulates the metabolism, stimulates collagen production and supports detoxification, which leads to firmer, more elastic and healthier-looking skin even in old age.

Try red light therapy

Are you ready to take a step into biohacking? Then try red light therapy. It stimulates cell regeneration, which supports skin structure, elasticity and cell renewal, thus slowing down the aging process and providing many other benefits.

Practice face yoga consistently

Regular face yoga (about 10-15 minutes daily) can help you achieve a firmer, more youthful appearance without expensive treatments. Face yoga can strengthen facial muscles, improve blood circulation and promote skin tightening.

05

Why does skin age at all?

Skin ages due to a combination of genetic factors and external influences. With age, the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid decreases, causing the skin to lose elasticity and become thinner. In addition, UV rays, environmental factors and unhealthy lifestyle habits damage the skin, which can lead to wrinkles, pigment spots and dryness.

06

Can we slow down the ageing process?

Genetics plays an important role in skin aging. It influences how quickly our skin changes, how much our collagen production declines, and how prone we are to wrinkles. Nevertheless, the environment – such as sun, pollution, and lifestyle – makes an equally significant difference. With the right measures and the support of slow-aging active ingredients, we can balance out the influence of genetics and slow down the aging process.

Conclusion

The slow-aging trend is changing our understanding of beautiful skin. Instead of striving for perfection, we are celebrating individuality and beauty at every age: skin looks different at 50 than it does at 30. But that doesn't mean it can't continue to glow! It's important to give your skin the right care, to adapt your lifestyle to your needs, and to understand why these needs can change with age.
