Salzburg, 26 January 2026. The Hahnenkamm Race is renowned worldwide for excellence, courage and sporting excellence. Year after year, this time-honoured event attracts athletes, leading figures from the worlds of business and society, and thousands of visitors to Kitzbühel.

But alongside the spectacular races on the Streif, another tradition takes centre stage: the Kitz Charity Trophy. In 2026, too, a strong message of solidarity and social commitment was sent. A total of 270,000 euros was raised for mountain farming families in North, East and South Tyrol, as well as for other social initiatives.

270,000 euros for farming families – the Hahnenkamm Race becomes a platform for social responsibility

For 27 years now, the Kitz Charity Trophy has been bringing together figures from the worlds of sport, business and entertainment for a common cause. The focus is not on sporting success, but on supporting people facing particular challenges. In total, around 3.4 million euros have been raised for social projects since the initiative began.

BIOGENA was also part of this special initiative. The winning team at this year’s Charity Trophy consisted of BIOGENA’s Managing Director Stefan Klinglmair and former skiing stars Philipp Schörghofer and Kjetil Jansrud.

Responsibility beyond sport

“The Kitz Charity Trophy impressively demonstrates the power that is generated when people use their profile, their network and their commitment to support a good cause. It is precisely in an environment characterised by top-level performance that the importance of solidarity and social responsibility becomes apparent,” explains Stefan Klinglmair.

For BIOGENA, therefore, taking part is not about sporting results, but about the opportunity to make a contribution and raise awareness of important social issues.

Regional roots, lasting impact

As an Austrian company, BIOGENA has always felt a close connection to the people and regions in which it operates. Supporting mountain farming families, who carry out valuable work under often challenging conditions, is in line with the sense of responsibility that BIOGENA has upheld for many years.

“Impact is created where people take responsibility for one another. The Kitz Charity Trophy combines a passion for sport with practical help and shows just how much can be achieved together. It is precisely this approach that we support with complete conviction,” said Klinglmair.
