Fortunate circumstances, good supply
For me, fortunate circumstances imply the opportunity of an optimum nutritional supply, e.g. with micronutrients, so that there does not occur a deficiency in times of a sudden higher need. But this is not only about the avoidance or the cure of a deficiency. It is the optimization that fascinates me.
Statistics help us to distinguish the advantages of optimization more clearly. This is for example the case when we compare persons with a better nutritive status with those persons who have an inferior status. Our research designer, Dr. Ina Viebahn, evaluated the facts and figures of magnesium from our large data pool. She compared the magnesium status (the laboratory value) of persons with the SF-36 results. The SF-36 is a standardized and internationally used instrument for determining health and quality of life.
And now, have a look at this: Those with a better magnesium supply and higher laboratory values reached a higher score in the SF-36 than those persons with low magnesium values. This means that those persons who have a better magnesium status feel better and are healthier than those with a lower status. This result is also highly significant when it comes to statistics. These sensational data that prove the correlation between magnesium status and quality of life have also been published in collaboration with the stress researcher Prof. Sepp Porta in the professional journal “Trace Elements and Electrolytes”
Maybe, these data also explain why magnesium is the most popular mineral when it comes to supplements. .
What an intriguing issue! And a practical tip for everyone – it does make sense to optimize the nutrition status for finally being able to tap their full potential.
