Eisenmangel-Check Kapillarbluttest
Have you ever thought about having your iron level tested? Iron is an important trace element that is mainly needed for blood formation in the human body. Iron is also responsible for transporting oxygen. It is largely stored in the protein ferritin, and the level of ferritin in the blood provides an indication of how much iron is stored in the body. A ferritin level that is too low indicates an iron deficiency.
An iron deficiency is most frequently caused by an unbalanced diet or malnutrition, increased demand e.g. during growth, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, illnesses that lead to absorption disorders and regular blood donations. In women, iron deficiency often occurs due to heavy menstruation and during pregnancy. The iron deficiency blood test measures your ferritin level to detect a possible iron deficiency.
The Eisenmangel-Check Kapillarbluttest is a medical laboratory test to determine the ferritin level.
