Omega-3 indexCapillary blood test
Are you eating enough healthy fats? Omega 3 - Not all fats are the same!
Rather, the quality, composition and ratio of the fatty acids consumed are crucial. Omega-3 fatty acids - often referred to simply as "the good ones" - support important bodily functions. They are components of cells, building blocks for hormones and important for the heart and brain. Long-term scientific studies are increasingly confirming how valuable omega-3 fatty acids are for us humans. For example, a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA makes a significant contribution to maintaining normal heart function. A good omega-3 supply is required in every situation in life: DHA and EPA play a decisive role in our vitality long before birth and into old age.
The omega-3 index is a medical laboratory test to determine the percentage of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) from capillary blood.
