Vitamin D, the so-called sun vitamin, can only be absorbed in very small amounts from food and is mainly produced by the sun's rays in the skin. However, solar radiation is very weak, especially in the autumn and winter months, and therefore vitamin D synthesis in the body is severely restricted. An additional supply in the form of dietary supplements is therefore recommended especially in the dark season.
Vitamin D not only supports the maintenance of normal immune function, but also the absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus in the intestines. Furthermore, it is involved in the maintenance of muscles and bones, as well as the teeth and supports a normal calcium level in the blood. A sufficient supply of the power substance vitamin D supports the entire organism on the way to more well-being.
Biogena Vitamin D 2000 DUO is a quality preparation, which with 50 µg (2000 I.E.) per capsule offers a high content of vitamin D3. To further improve vitamin D absorption, the capsules contain high-quality native linseed oil. The innovative NutriGellets® technology used here makes it possible to dispense with additives and preservatives and also optimises the bioavailability of the valuable ingredients.

FAQ
At Biogena, “pure substance principle” means that we do not use technological additives which are used for the fully automated manufacturing of tablets, capsules and pills (e.g. anticaking or release agents and so forth) or additives that are used for optical reasons or for enhancing the taste of the products (artificial aroma, colouring agents, coatings etc.). Due to a semi-automatic manufacturing process, we can avoid these substances that often have a higher proportion in customary products than the actual active ingredients. In the case of nutritional supplements, additives have to be indicated in the list of ingredients. Here, the patient or customer can get useful information. Concerning the single ingredients, we also care for our raw materials to be free of carrier substances. In cases where this is not possible, we use natural food components such as maltodextrin, cellulose powder or calcium carbonate. The majority of our ingredients is produced exclusively for us – free of carrier substances (e.g. our enzymes our probiotics: other manufacturers often use lactose as a carrier – the product batches produced for us are explicitly without carriers).
